Possible Causes:
1. The "Auto Standby" setting within the App is set to 24 hours.
a. Please do not set the App's "Auto Standby" duration to 24 hours. You can refer to the following link for instructions on how to disable Auto Standby: How to Adjust Auto Screen off & Auto Standby in the Ultimea App?
b. Please open the App, connect to the soundbar, and update the firmware to the latest version.
2. Device or Cable Issues:
a. If the device does not shut down immediately upon powering on, try performing a factory reset: Briefly press the Power button to turn on the device; wait 3–5 seconds, then immediately press and hold the Mute button on the remote control for 5 seconds to initiate the factory reset.
b. Disconnect all power cables from the soundbar and its components; wait one minute, then reconnect them.
c. Try using a different HDMI cable to test the connection.
d. Attempt to connect your mobile phone to the soundbar via Bluetooth to test the audio playback.
3. If automatic power-on/off issues occur while using HDMI and utilizing the TV remote for synchronized control, the problem may stem from an incompatibility between the HDMI-CEC function and your specific TV model:
Our technical team has thoroughly tested the Skywave X40 soundbar with several major TV brands.
However, this issue has been observed with certain TV brands, such as Telefunken. The root cause lies in HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) compatibility differences between the TV and the soundbar.
Currently, this behavior cannot be completely resolved through firmware updates.
Recommended Solutions
Option 1: Disable HDMI-CEC
Turn off the CEC or HDMI Control feature on either your TV or the soundbar.
This will prevent the TV from sending automatic power-on signals through the HDMI connection.
On your TV, look for settings labeled:
Anynet+ (Samsung)
Bravia Sync (Sony)
Simplink (LG)
HDMI-CEC (general)
On the soundbar, disable any “HDMI Control” or “CEC” setting if available.
Option 2: Use Optical (OPT) Connection
Connect the soundbar to your TV using an optical audio cable instead of HDMI.
This method does not rely on CEC communication and will avoid the automatic power-on behavior entirely.
You will still enjoy high-quality digital audio, though TV remote volume control may need to be adjusted separately.
Option 3: Manual Power-Off Sequence
If you prefer to continue using HDMI-CEC features (such as automatic power and volume synchronization):
Turn off your TV using its remote control.
Then, power off the soundbar separately using its remote control.
Each operation can solve the problem. We understand this adds an extra step, but it helps prevent the unintended restart issue.
Additional Notes
The automatic restart behavior does not affect the core functionality, audio performance, or reliability of the soundbar.
Depends on the TV’s own CEC protocol implementation.
