Ultimea Support

V143 is the latest version of Poseidon D60.

Must read before upgrading:

If the sound quality of the factory version meets your requirements or the current factory version is V143, you don't need to upgrade the software version. (Switching versions multiple times may cause compatibility issues)

Before upgrading this version, please make sure your factory software version is less than V143(Press and hold the button on the right side of "surround" for 5 seconds.)(Not suitable for V018/ V019 or T20/T019 or V45 with App control new version).

③ Please ensure that the soundbar and the subwoofer remain connected before upgrading. Otherwise, the software versions will be inconsistent, and the subwoofer will have no sound or will not work.

④ If the device crashes and cannot be turned on after the upgrade, please contact customer service to send a "recovery file", please get in touch with support@ultimea.com.

V143 improvements:

① Optimize EQ1/EQ2/EQ3 sound effects
② Improved mid-frequency for clearer sound
③ Enhance surround sound quality

Specific Method:

1. Copy the "update.zip" file to the USB flash drive.

Note:
Use an empty USB flash drive, USB format: FAT32, 128GB or less capacity;
The file doesn't need to be unzipped;

2. After the Soundbar is turned on, insert the USB flash drive into the USB port, WAITING will be displayed, and then it will automatically upgrade and the progress will be displayed. Automatically standby after the upgrade is completed.
3. Press and hold the button on the right side of "surround" for 5 seconds. If the display shows "V143, " the upgrade is successful.

Ho installato ieri questo firmware e devo dire che è un upgrade notevole, il suono è molto più chiaro e definito e l'effetto sorround si percepisce molto meglio. Complimenti, un gran miglioramento di un prodotto già notevole.

Hello everyone. I was hoping someone could advise if it's possible to level all of the sound during a movie? I watched a movie last night and I had to hold the remote in my hand and adjust the volume well over 50+ times. Dialog is very quiet then sound effects absolutely deafening. It's very important to me as I live in an apartment. My TV has a setting that levels all of this and is one of the best features ever. I set the volume once and I can hear everything great and no annoying 10x louder sound effects. I had to turn off my D60 half way through as I just couldn't enjoy the movie. The setting on the TV doesn't apply to the surround sound which is connected via e-arc.

I know one of the EQ settings does boost dialog a little bit but the sound effects are still ridiculous.

I think I'm on V132. But I could be wrong I updated it around 6 months ago.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys, I found a way to greatly improve your listening experience today and I'm sharing it with you. All you have to do is tilt your rear speakers towards your ears like above picture. I tried this today and it was great, the fidelity of the surround channels increased significantly and the surrounds felt much fuller!

When is a new update coming?

My center speaker can be even louder. Is there a way to do that?

I also wait for a new one. I thought this Version would be Great in Terms of clear Voice, but now i have only a very few Surround Sounds in Movies when there should be way more. And my left sattelite speaker is very quiet if somethings happens

I agree. Ultimea, please please fix the sound bleeding into the rear speakers issue. If I turn up the surround level to +2 and +3 you can clearly hear FL and FR bleeding into the rear speakers.
This is such a good product for the price, but you really need to fix these basic issues.

I’ve waited so long for an update… I finally sold Poseidon and switched to SONOS! It’s the best decision I could have made. Everything works perfectly there!

Hmm... I don't know why they are not responding here, so I will provide the information on their behalf.  They and I exchanged information through ticket support. About the future of the Poseidon D60.

First of all, for this model of Poseidon D60, do not expect any more firmware updates. Because there is a bigger gift coming. Ultimea is currently producing an app-supported model of the Poseidon D60. Users who are using the existing Poseidon D60 that does not support the app, that is, we, will be provided with a hardware replacement service for the new model when it is released. Assuming that your warranty period has not expired, the replacement for the new model will be free of charge!

Please note that if you register your Poseidon D60 product, your warranty period will be extended by one year : https://www.ultimea.com/pages/warranty-registration

In the case of the new model, In addition to supporting the app, the new model also has a firmware bug fixed, a remote control that provides very detailed customization like the Poseidon D80 model, such as an expanded surround adjustment range of -6 to +6, and additional midrange and treble adjustment.

Above is a screenshot of the remote control that will be supplied with the new Poseidon D60 model, and more information about the new model can be found here: Poseidon D60 5.1 Soundbar with App Control User Manual

Will they be reaching out to us to let us know of the exchange, or would it only happen if we put in an RMA request?

I don’t know why anyone would think they will give out free products to people it makes no sense, The system is great it has a few fixes that need to be addressed and I emailed them about this I had a response saying they have been busy with other projects and with it being the holiday season. The firmware fix has been delayed but they are actively monitoring the situation and will continue to provide updates and as soon as they have information they will announce it on here.

I just got a D60. And I read that it won't be supported anymore :/ I hope it's not true, because there's just a few things to make it great. Problem with 143, the dialogue on the front speaker is too low. Bass are not loud enough. And the rear speakers leak through each other. And I know it's achievable, because when I switch sound source, there's a split second, just before the message 'dolby surround' appears on the bar, where the sound is perfect. I hope at least the rear speakers leak will be fixed...

It's weird. On another test, rear left and right were correct, but the leak was front rear to front, like center was heard on all speakers, rear right heard on front right too, and same with the left side...

    Saludos

They just confirmed in a private message that V143 was the last update that the D60 will get.

I bought this model since I read official statements from Ultimea in this thread (few months ago) that the D60 would eventually be integrated in the app.

Since this will not be the case, I will also leave a negative review on amazon and I suggest you all do the same (for those who bought it on amazon), I hope this will push them to change idea.

Anyway, not a good way to treat customers with these sudden changes of strategy...

At least I thought they would fix the bug. Because when I reported the bug, they said it was a priority. They even said it publicly here. That's why the news you brought is even more shocking.

Since I am in the middle of an RMA, I did ask if they had plan to exchange current D60’s for the new version once it releases.
The issue I have is that one surround speaker is tinny compared to the other (play windows speaker test tones, and I get a nasty metallic reverb). That speaker is also quieter than the other.
Anyway, the original solution I got from Ultimea was to look at buying a D80, or get a 10% refund…. Needless to say I mentioned I was looking for an exchange (since an earlier advisor mentioned they could do it), and they are sending me a new unit.

Another time I have a bad timing... Part of my fault, I should have searched for this kind of thing before. Next time I'll pay a little more and go for a reputable brand...

Can somebody from ultimea please let us all know what is happening in the future for the D60? We are all receiving different information I’m going to be downgrading from 143 because the surround speakers sound really poor with this one I’m getting way too much robotic noise from the surround speakers when the audio is not atmos or surround (also the issues with the bleeding surround) 142 surround is so much nicer than 143 imo. Please show us some respect and give us some form of update if you are going to fix the issues we have all been describing.

Well... Ultimea will never officially comment on the future of the Poseidon D60. Think about it. The moment they officially say an ETA for a firmware update here, it becomes a public promise and they have to deliver on that promise. Why would they take this risk they have no plans to update the firmware for this model?

But at the same time, they won't say that they won't do firmware updates for this model. Because the moment they say that they have no plans for firmware updates, they will be breaking their previous official promises to us (to fix bugs and release a firmware that supports the app), and that will hurt their reputation.

That's why from Ultimea's perspective, they don't give an ETA for firmware updates and they also don't say that they don't plan on doing firmware updates. That's their strategy.

Thank you very much ultimea team you are fantastic in all technical service and kindness especially great professionals in the minimum time you solved the problem.
Then I would advise everyone that the D60 works wonders remember that movies have to be in the right format to sound as they should and also the TV sound output etc....
Of course, I will continue to trust Ultimea, no other brand offers Ultimea's service.

    thanks.

I haven't even had mine for a year. If I was able to control more settings like the new one I would be fine. Even an app support would help us all if we can control what is needed. Also, we cant even get an upgrade from being sold an out dated product since no more updates will be available?! Crazy part is ONN has a soundbar at Walmart and the crazy thing is its the same price but with two up firing speakers on the soundbar, which makes it a 7.1 surround sound dolby system and around 4 to 600 more watts. If this could be fixed i wouldn't be thinking of another system! Shame
