Incorrect Channel Response When Playing Multichannel Audio？🔥🔥

If some speakers do not produce sound, play at a lower volume, or multiple speakers play the same sound when testing multichannel audio, follow the steps below.

1. Test a 9.1.6-channel source

When testing a 9.1.6-channel audio source, set Channel Decoding in the ULTIMEA app to 9.1.6 Only.

In the EQ settings, set Xupmix to Off. This ensures that the original channel layout of the source is preserved during testing.

2. Test 5.1 or 7.1 audio sources

The X100 Dual is a 9.2.6-channel system. When using a 5.1 or 7.1 audio source for individual channel testing, the source does not contain independent signals for all 9.2.6 channels.

As a result, some speakers may:

* Produce no sound
* Produce lower-volume sound
* Play the same audio as another speaker

Therefore, 5.1 or 7.1 test files should not be used to determine whether all X100 Dual channels are working correctly.

For a complete channel-by-channel test, we recommend using a 9.1.6-channel test file. You can also verify the system by playing a movie with Dolby Atmos or 9.1.6-channel audio.

3. Adjust Xupmix based on your content

For multichannel content, we recommend setting Xupmix to On when you want a more immersive surround effect or when you want sound to be distributed across more channels.

For music, Xupmix Off is generally recommended to preserve the original stereo presentation.

Note: Xupmix does not affect Dolby source signals such as Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, or Dolby Atmos.
 

How Xupmix works

Xupmix controls the Dolby DAP (Dolby Audio Processing) upmixing function and is enabled by default.

You can press the Xupmix button on the remote control to switch between Xupmix ON and Xupmix OFF.

* Xupmix Off: Surround-channel audio is generated by copying signals from the left and right main channels.
* Xupmix On: Dolby DAP upmixes the input audio and distributes the resulting multichannel signal to the surround channels.
* Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby Atmos: When the input is a Dolby encoded source, the X100 Dual uses the original Dolby multichannel channel allocation regardless of whether Xupmix is On or Off, providing the corresponding surround sound output.
