Please follow the steps below to resolve the HDMI no sound issue:
1. Verify Connections and Settings
Connect:
- Ensure the TV and soundbar are connected to the HDMI ports marked "ARC" or "eARC" (Note: "HDMI IN" ports do not support ARC/eARC).
Adjust TV Settings:
A. For HDMI ARC Connection
- Disable Dolby audio.
- Set the TV's audio output to PCM.
- Typical TV setting path:
Go to: Settings → Sound Output → Select Receiver HDMI (ARC).
Navigate to: Sound → Expert Settings → Digital Audio Output, and set it to PCM.
B. For HDMI eARC Connection
- Enable Dolby audio.
- Set the TV's audio output to Auto/Pass Through.
- Typical TV setting path:
Go to: Settings → Sound Output → Select Receiver HDMI (eARC).
Navigate to: Sound → Expert Settings → Digital Audio Output, and set it to Auto/Pass Through.
Note:
Make sure your TV HDMI supports eARC, otherwise the Dolby Atmos audio signal cannot be transmitted.
Atmos: If you are watching a movie in the Dolby Atmos format, please set the audio output on your TV to Pass Through:
DTS: If you are watching a movie in the DTS format, please set the audio output on your TV to PCM:
2. Replug or Replace the HDMI Cable:
- Replug the HDMI cable to the ARC/eARC ports on both the TV and the soundbar to ensure securely seated in the ports.
- If the issue still persists, try using a high-quality HDMI cable to see if it resolves the problem.
3. Restore Factory Settings
- Press and hold the "MUTE" button on the remote control to restore the device to its factory settings.
4. Try Alternative Connection Methods
If the issue still persists after tried troubleshootings above, please connecting your phone to the soundbar via Bluetooth to quickly check whether the device is malfunctioning.
- If there is still no sound via Bluetooth, it is likely that the soundbar speakers are faulty.
- If audio works via Bluetooth but there is no sound via HDMI, this may indicate a compatibility issue (if it occurs during initial use), or an HDMI port failure (if the issue suddenly occurs after a period of use).
