The issue of the soundbar automatically turning on/off may be caused by the following three reasons:

1. Auto standby function enabled in the app

  • To comply with EU energy efficiency, the soundbar is set by default to automatically enter standby mode after 15 minutes of inactivity. You can set the auto standby duration in the app according to your preferences, such as 12 hours or 24 hours.
You may refer to this guide to disable the function:πŸ‘‰ How-to-Adjust-Auto-Screen-off-Auto-Standby-in-the-Ultimea-App
  • Go to the app, connect the soundbar, and update it to the latest firmware version.

2. Internal system issue after prolonged use

  • Unplugging the power cord while the soundbar is on to force a shutdown.
  • Turn the device back on, then press and hold the Mute button on the remote control for 5 seconds until the soundbar resets to factory settings.
  • Please try using a different HDMI or OPTICAL cable for further testing if possible.
  • To help us determine whether this is a product issue or a compatibility issue, quickly test whether the device is working properly by connecting your phone to the soundbar via Bluetooth.

3. HDMI-CEC function compatible between TV and soundbar

If the issue only occurs when using an HDMI connection, it can be identified as a compatibility-related problem.

  • Disable or restrict HDMI-CEC features (such as Bravia Sync) in your TV settings for comparison testing. Turn off β€œQuick Start” or similar fast power-on features on your TV.
  • Check whether the TV system has automatic updates or background app refresh enabled, and try disabling them.
