Main Improvement Points:
①Modify the range of Bass adjustment to 6-6
①Improve EQ sound effects.
③Reduce background noise and improve vocal clarity.
④Modify the range of Volume adjustment to 0-100
Note: The volume needs to be set in equal proportion to the factory version of the software.
Volume can be quickly increased or decreased by long press, it takes about 8s to go from 0-100 (please short press 2 times first, then long press it )
Specific Method:
1. Copy the "update.zip" file to the USB flash drive.
Note:
① Use an empty USB flash drive, USB format: FAT32, 128GB or less capacity;
② The file doesn't need to unzip;
2. After the Soundbar is turned on, insert the USB flash drive into the USB port, WAITING will be displayed, and then it will automatically upgrade and the progress will be displayed from 0-100. Automatically standby after the upgrade is completed.
3. Press and hold the button on the "OPT" for 5 seconds. If the display shows "V139", it means the upgrade is successful.

Did you connect the 6 pin cable after assemble the soundbar?
Yes, it worked, only after I installed the new firmware (it went to 100%) did it not start again.Richard Seddon - I noticed that you posted on the Nova S80 page. Looks like you gave up on the Nova S70? Just curious as to why. Was the upgrade to the S80 that much of an improvement? You mentioned that you updated to V139 on that as well. Wonder why there was so much improvement to the S80 and not the S70?
https://support.ultimea.com/hc/en-us/articles/29939157982361-Nova-S70-Factory-Software-V103 Follow this and re install factory settings, then tomorrow u understand with assistance why it’s not working.
this is for S70, I do not understand if u have S70 or S80 (I have S70)
I have s70.
I can't reinstall the old firmware because the device won't turn on at all.
You got right.
i have the same problem, the soundbar wont turn on but my USB stick turns red
so it gets recognized, what should i do when i dont see a light up from the soundbar?
how can we return it back to old system? i cant turn it even on...
Like a previous user stated, in regard to using the newest update for the Nova S70 with Xbox Series X, the Dolby Atmos function no longer works. I have a license for Dolby Home Theater through the Dolby Access app. I have tried using both the eARC connection as well as doing a direct pass through with my Xbox, and my only option is to choose stereo uncompressed in the audio settings on my console. The only way to get Dolby Atmos back was to revert the S70 back to V103. In other words, V139 is completely useless if you're looking to use it to play games or otherwise use the S70 with an Xbox Series console. The other features of the update were nice, but ultimately, it's not worth it to update if it no longer works with the main device I bought the soundbar for.
Douglas Hardy, Just logged in to tell you that, after reverting back to the factory software I started running into serious issues with outputting audio so I figured i'd try switching back to the updated software. For some reason, I don't know why but, Dolby Atmos is selected and working as intended now so I'd recommend giving it another go. Hopefully it'll work for you also, I've had no issues the last 8 or so times I've booted up my console.
Let me know how it goes!
Hello @Benjaminwolfson, what do you thin about the soundbar any good? is the bass better/ have a punch with this update?
Alexander Yes, I'd say so, though I don't turn the bass all the way up out of consideration for my neighbours! I feel there still a few kinks with the sound bar but they are minor and will hopefully be straightened out in future updates. I initially bought the S50 but exchanged to this unit as the S50 was pretty underwhelming despite the good reviews from tech influencers on YouTube.
This unit doesn't seem to be getting much attention from online reviewers or the developers though I understand it's new to the market. For the price point, it's good value for money but I'd go for the S80 for a more better Atmos experience.
Okay thank you so much im really excited to try it and yes wierd that there are no reviews on youtube and hope the things will update more =)
ULTIMEA – Noticing that the Software Updates for both the Nova S70 and the Nova S80 are V139, would I be correct in thinking they both use the same front soundbar (just adding a different Subwoofer with an inbuilt Surround Amp the two rear Surround speakers to the S80)?
Hello Völgyi-Csík Máté,
Sorry for not seeing your message in time.
There may be a problem with the upgrade process, causing the device to freeze.
We will send you a repair package via email. Please pay attention to your email information.
Hello Richard Seddon,
Thank you for the information.
The latest software version names of Nova S70 and Nova S80 are both V139, but their version contents are different.
The Upward built-in speakers are designed similarly.
The overall sound quality of the Nova S80 is better than that of the Nova S70, and the power is higher. And there is rear surround equipment.
Thank you, ULTIMEA, that's helpful clarification on your software update nomenclature.
May I suggest, however, that prefixing the updates with the product number – e.g. V139 would become V739 for the Nova S70 and V839 for the Nova S80 software update – as this would preclude any potential confusion on identical nomenclature?
All the best and Happy Easter 🐰🐣!
I had usb2.0 16gb. Just plugging into soundbar started of firmware counting up to 100 on bar display, there was pause then continued till it reached 100 and then switched off. Pushing OPT button seems to just read out what's connected ( including USB's 139) and what settings bar is on now So I formatted USB,downloaded update.zip directly to USB(you can change download location temporarily in your browser settings). I turned on soundbar, plugged in USB and soundbar recognized and flashed firmware with count up to 100. EDIT Do not know if Ultimea changed instructions recently but the instructions shown are correct
Hello, I am trying to apply the update without success following the published instructions and with different pendrives.
I have read in this forum that you have to insist to achieve it, I am already tired. I'm starting to think that the update file may be corrupted or corrupted during the download since when trying to open or decompress it it says that it is not a valid format. To clear up doubts, it would be good if the HASH or checksum of the file were published to verify its integrity after download.
Some users had performance problems when applying the update, all of this may be related, so I will not continue trying.
Greetings
I have used Google Translator, my English is not very good.
@Luis. You need to download the file directly to your usb, don’t transfer it as per the instructions. Hope this helps. Thumb it up if so.
I also did it like that and it didn't work.
I used safari as a browser, try your native browser and download to the usb. Make sure to erase all data beforehand.
Someone (Mike) asked if I'd "given up on the S70", as I switched to the S80.
No, I'd not given up on the S70, it's just that I really wanted 5.1 Surround in addition to Dolby Atmos. The S80 "pre order" was announced, and it offered exactly what I wanted.
Thank you all for your attention to the software version. Please note that the naming rules of the software version are determined by our professional technicians. It may be necessary to distinguish between different models. Your suggestions are very worthy of consideration.
We are also trying to make the update instructions more accurate to help you complete the update effectively. If you have any good suggestions, please feel free to give us your advice. In any case, thank you for your patience and support.
