Improvement points:
1. Improve sound quality.
2. Improve the problem of occasional mute when HDMI is turned on.
The upgrade method is as follows:
1. Place the file named "fw5000.upd" into the root directory of the U disk. (Special note: If the file ending with "upd" does not have this name, you need to rename the file to "fw5000.upd")
2. After powering on, insert the USB disk, "UP--" will be displayed, and it will change to "-" after a few seconds. Enter standby mode, and "-" will be displayed.
3. Restart the soundbar and press and hold the MUSIC button for 5 seconds. If the display shows the software version number "V023", it means the software update is successful.

Hello BENOIT VERVA,
No, this is the software version of the Apollo S40. If you require new software for the Poseidon D50, please let us know your audio requirements and the current factory version.
Perfect, sounds much much better. Many thanks.

Hi, I'm having trouble updating my Nova S40. The display doesn't show "UP." Nothing happens. Ultimately, after following all the steps and then pressing the Music button for 5 seconds, the display reads E903 which I assume is an error message. Not sure that it matters, but the Bass MX button cycles through only two displays: Bs0 and Bs1. There is no Bs-1. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I have the same problem. Never shows "UP". Shows Usb for a second and then Arc. Tried with 2 different usb sticks, formatted FAT and FAT32. The filename is "fw5000.upd". Can you help?
Hello Joe Bongiovi,
Thank you for reaching out.
The code "E903" refers to MUSIC mode, you can check this information in the User Manual description.
Please also note that this article is for the Apollo S40, not the Nova S40 firmware update. Before updating the firmware, please make sure that the current version is lower than V23, otherwise it is not recommended to update.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve it:
1. Make sure the USB is formatted to FAT32 and is empty before downloading the update file. Try using a different USB stick if available.
2. Verify that the "fw5000.upd" file is copied directly to the USB drive without unzipping it.
3. Disconnect the soundbar from power, plug it back in, and restart the update process following the exact steps above.
Bass MX cycling: The Bass adjustment range is -1, 0, 1. If you confirm that you do not see this content on the LED display of the soundbar, please confirm whether the remote control is faulty and cannot be adjusted.

Hello José Carlos Santos,
If the soundbar doesn't show "UP" and switches to "USB" then "ARC," please try the following:
1. Ensure the USB is formatted to FAT32 (64GB or bigger).
2. Confirm the file is named exactly "fw5000.upd" and placed in the root directory.
3. Power off the soundbar, unplug it, then retry the update.
