1. TV Interface and Sound Configuration Check
It's necessary to confirm the TV's output channel and the content source to ensure proper surround sound effects.
If the TV uses an ARC interface:
- ARC does not support Dolby Atmos. When playing 5.1 Dolby Atmos content, there won't be true surround sound. The surround effect is mainly focused on vocals (virtual surround), with weaker background sounds.
Solutions to enhance surround sound volume:
- Set the TV sound to PCM or Auto.
- When playing Netflix content, choose English [Original] in the Audio & Subtitles settings.
- You can turn off Xupmix (Xupmix OFF) via the remote or the ULTIMEA App to improve surround sound.
If the TV uses an eARC interface:
- eARC supports Dolby Atmos. When playing 5.1 Dolby Atmos content, it can provide true surround sound (mainly focused on background sound effects).
Solutions to enhance surround sound volume:
- Set the TV sound to Passthrough.
- When playing Netflix, check the Netflix audio settings and select English [Original] (Atmos) in the Audio & Subtitles menu.
- You can turn on Xupmix (Xupmix ON) via the remote or the ULTIMEA App to enhance the surround effect.
However, if you're playing standard stereo content, such as from YouTube, it is recommended to turn off Xupmix (Xupmix OFF) and try switching between different EQ modes to test for improved surround sound.
2. Wireless Connection Issues Check
If the surround speakers have low volume, it may be due to an unstable wireless connection.
-
Restore factory settings:
Press and hold the mute button on the remote control for 5 seconds to restore the default settings, and then reconnect. -
Power cycle the surround speakers:
Unplug the surround speakers, wait a few minutes, then plug them back in and power them on. -
Re-pair the surround speakers:
Disconnect and re-pair the surround speakers to ensure a stable connection.

3. Software Version Upgrade
Make sure the firmware version is updated to the latest V31 to optimize the sound performance.
How to upgrade:
Provide the current factory software version (viewable on the App profile page), take a photo of the SN code on the back of the soundbar or a screenshot of the App profile page, and send it to the support team. They will push the V31 software update through the Ultimea App.
4. Surround Speaker Placement Optimization & Room Size Recommendations
If the surround speakers are placed too far from the user, it may result in a lower volume.
Solutions:
- It is recommended to place the surround speakers closer to the user to ensure more obvious surround sound and enhance immersion.
- Suitable for rooms β€ 215ftΒ² (20mΒ²).
In larger rooms, the sound may disperse, affecting the surround effect.
